Maisy (quite at home) with her new beloved family, the Wrights

Maisy is an amazing story: she came into rescue and
fortunately found a the dream foster home with Alan Patten and his family.
He spent hours with her helping her work on her separation anxiety and
fine-tuning her people skills.  (And from this, a dedicated rescue worker
was born: Alan spends long hours trying to help Weimaraners who need homes.
He is a great help to the cause!)

The Wrights report, "We just wanted to let you know that things are working out beautifully with
Maisy. She has certainly won our hearts already! She is eating well, sleeping well (in Jonathan's bed last night), resting happily, doing her business often on command, and seems to be very calm and happy.  We are doing our best to maintain the great training you worked on with her, and she seems to be responding well to it. She seems very relaxed around here,
lying next to us and loving all the attention and petting she receives in this home.  We have started short trips out without her, and she is doing  fine. She loves riding in the car with us, immediately curling up and sleeping on the kids laps!"

"Maisy is doing so well. We were realizing that it has been a little more
than a week since we got her, and she is so at home here! She is doing just fine when we leave her for church, etc. She is certainly excited when we get home, but has not done anything destructive at all. She probably just waits at the window or door for us. She certainly loves playing with those stuffed toys, and lets us know she wants to play by rolling on her back in the middle of the room. During her mellow moments, she has even been on her back for us to pet her tummy! We have taken her to a dog park 3 times
already, and boy does she love it! She can run like the wind!"

"We are starting to work on heel with her when we walk her, to try to help with the pulling, and it is definitely helping. She mostly loves the dog park!  We found she can jump from a stand up onto the boy's top bunk bed and land on her feet! She greets the boys up there! What an athlete!
